Vintage, or possibly antique, oak extending dining table made in the 1920s probably. The base is refectory style, having two pedestal ends with turned balustrade pillars, long bracket feet and a central connecting rail. The top is made up of thick ply panels surrounded with solid wood frames: a central square section with two half size leaves which sit underneath the middle part and can be drawn out when more table is needed; one leaf or two can be employed. At full extent you'd comfortably get six around it; eight if you're friendly.. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and there's little or no movement in the joints. Cosmetically there are various scuffs and marks though nothing terrible. The top panels have been painted black at some point; the paint has become quite worn which looks quite pleasing. The top easily lifts off for transport. Dimensions: 91cm wide x 75cm high x 92/122/152cm long
